I love Germany!We got to Munich about 8:30 am on Friday. We found are hotel, surprisingly without any problems, and then we were off to explore the city. We went on a bike tour of Munich and it was awesome! I absolutely loved it! It was a great way to see the city and we learned a lot-I just wish I could remember everything! This is a good time of year to go there because we were able to see all the beautiful fall colors. During are bike tour we saw lots of statues and other monuments, churches, the most amazing gardens/parks I have ever seen, and part of the Berlin wall. There is s
o much history in this town. Most of the buildings had to be rebuilt after World War II. There are only three original buildings in the town. One of my favorite things we learned was about a group of students and a professor from the university who formed an Anti-Nazi group. They would print off Anti-Nazi fliers and tried to get them out to people without getting caught, however, they did get ca
ught. The professor told the students that he would take the blame and let them go. The students would not let him do this and did not want him to because they believed in what they were doing. So as the Gestapos were coming, as a sign of their rebellion against the Nazis', they threw out their fliers at them. They all ended up being killed. The picture on the right is a memorial for those students and the professor. As people walk by they place a rock on top, in remembrance of what they did, and every couple weeks they clear them off and do it again. (pic on left are some of the fliers that are still at the university)

This is a picture taken in the Munich English Garden. Which is a huge park. It is the largest city park in Europe, and is bigger than Central Park! It was incredible to bike through ..I wanted to take a picture of everything! But, it's just one of those things you have to see for yourself to get the full effect.
